I love how you said the small stuff is intertwined with the big stuff. That gives me another lens to view small talk. I definitely prefer deep water in communication, but your words helped me to see that God is just as much at the surface as He is in the deep. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for reading. Yes, He's teaching me to lean into the small stuff. I agree with you, I prefer deep conversations. But I'm learning to embrace the small talk. Blessings!
Ooh, this is one I have trouble with. My neurodivergent brain isn’t so good with the small talk. The listening, absolutely. The responding…not so much. Not that I don’t want to, just struggle with actually carrying out.
Absolutely. So many people are afraid of the silent pause that comes between active listening and response so instead of listening they spend the time you are talking deciding what they are going to say next.
I really like the way you think. I like the way you listen to the Holy Spirit! Blessings! ✝️🕊️🥰
Thank you for reading, Lydia. Blessings to you, too!
Audra- A lot of great points here. And it prompts everyone to rethink what’s really important. I appreciate it!
Thank you for reading!
What is small talk to one person, may be the only conversation someone else has all day because they live alone, etc. Smiles are just as important!
So beautifully spoken, Audra. And so desperately needed.

A listening ear is incredibly meaningful ministry.
