What do you do when you don’t know what to do?
What do you do when God seems silent?
What do you do when doors are closed and dreams are delayed?
I remember a time in my life where God seemed silent. I felt like I was moving in slow motion.
Here are the words I wrote in my journal during that time:
“I am living life in limbo. The last six weeks have been stressful and uncertain. But there has been incredible joy mixed in. Hope mixed in with all the unknowns. God’s grace and provision continues to pile up as I listen for His voice and wait for His leading. The word I received was: continue. Continue with what He has already called me to do. Continue making homemade dinners and delicious fall soups from scratch. Continue home workouts. Continue daily lessons. Continue loving my family well. Continue admiring the beauty in nature, the mystery of autumn. So I sit here watching my children play. Tomato soup and sourdough on the menu for dinner tonight. I continue to move forward and press on, even thought life feels in limbo. I sit still. I sip coffee. I stare at the rainbow of fall our Creator has painted. And I am content with the call to simply continue.”
Maybe the most spiritual thing you can do today is simply continue. Continue doing what God has already called you to do in this leg of your race of faith. In other words, keep calm and carry on.
Whatever this leg of your race looks like- stay the course with conviction. Fix your eyes, run your race, and let the Holy Spirit set your pace.
Remember, sometimes big faith looks like small steps.
Perhaps the most spiritual thing you can do today is to simply keep calm, carry on, and continue.
Keep on going and keep on sowing seeds of faith, hope, and love.
Keep calm by His spirit.
Carry on with conviction.
And run your race, saints!
With Love,
Audra
