So blessed by your call to repent before rejoicing. I’ve been a season of those three words, and have seen a few others on Substack recently speak about the importance of repentance in a Christian’s life. I love that you don’t shy away from the hard stuff, but bring light to the areas that may be dark. The repentance enriches the rejoicing! 🤍
Yes, Amber. I have been seeing the theme of repentance on Substack and I am very thankful. It is something we have to remind and encourage each other in. The amazing thing about repentance is that while it feels uncomfortable and hard, it brings so much relief to our hearts and minds. When we confess He is faithful to forgive. God is so good! I love what you say, "the repentance enriches rejoicing!" I'm going to write that down. Blessings!
I really needed that part about not idolizing the next season& rejoicing in this one. I find myself in a bare minimum season of my own. Thanks for the encouragement.
I wrote that line a few years ago when I was struggling hard in a particular season. I kept daydreaming about the next season. And then I got convicted of idolizing the next and missing the now. God is kind to keep us on the right path.
Audra, you've named those seasons so well. Bare minimum. Looking back, I see there were more of them than I'd ike to admit. Gratefully, He walks beside us through each and every one of them. May we have open hearts and eyes to see and ears to hear His presence.
Thank you for reading, Linda. He is faithful to finish what He started in us. Through every season, He is faithfully sustaining our small steps of faith. God bless!
I love the survive til five idea. Some days seem way tougher than others. When it seems tempers flare one small things while bigger problems overshadow the day, it is so important to pray and take a moment to get perspective on what’s really important. So much fruit is so wonderful when this becomes a habit!

“If we idolize our next season, we ignore our now season.” So, so good. ♥️
Thank you for reading, Sandy.

Yes. I am someone who has to really be intentional about being present and being where my feet are.
